She won an award for the best TV commercial for 'Rafhan Jelly' - a first ever for a freelance producer - in 1992.

Produced and directed “Rakeeb”Pakistan’s first TV film for NTM Pakistan's first private TV channel. This film got rave reviews-1995

Produced directed and presented a highly successful,  religious talk show called 'Zikr', shown daily during the month of Ramadan, 2006 HUM TV.
This 30-minute program took the form of free & frank discussion on Islam by mainstream clergy, religious scholars and Sufi speakers invited to tackle a wide array of challenging topics.
Due to its success a follow up series called Zikr say Fikr Tak was produced in 2011.

In 2018 she released the Qalandar Code a documentary about Islamic mysticism which garnered great academic interest and was shown at leading universities including Cambridge university and literature festivals.
The work is often quoted by scholars writing about the subject.

Atiya is currently working on a follow up to the documentary and has also launched a spiritual clothing line called Arizai.

She is routinely a guest on various talk shows and forums.
